Overview

The pressure envelope, engineered around the element.

A filter housing is a pressure vessel first and a filtration device second. The VESSA series is designed in that order: shell thickness, nozzle reinforcement and head geometry are calculated against the full fatigue duty of the plant, then the internals are laid out so that flow reaches every element face at the same velocity.

Every VESSA housing is modelled in CFD before fabrication. Maldistribution across a 24-round bundle is held below 6% face velocity deviation, which is the difference between elements that expire together and elements that expire one by one across an eighteen-month tail.

Closures are selected for how often the plant actually opens the vessel. Swing-bolt for weekly change-outs, davit-arm for heads above 40 kg, and quick-release band clamps where a two-minute turnaround pays for itself in the first quarter.

Configurations

  • VESSA-S

    Single-round in-line housing for low-flow polishing and sample-point duty.

  • VESSA-M

    Multi-round bundle, 3 to 84 elements, side-in / bottom-out flow path.

  • VESSA-H

High-pressure forged-head design rated to 250 bar for wellhead and hydraulic service.

  • VESSA-SAN

Sanitary construction with crevice-free internals, electropolished and drainable to zero hold-up.

  • VESSA-J

Jacketed variant with steam or thermal-fluid jacket for viscous and crystallising media.

Advantages

What this platform does that a catalogue item does not.

Flow modelled before steel is cut

CFD on every new geometry keeps face-velocity deviation under 6% across the bundle, so elements load evenly and expire together.

Traceable to the heat number

Every plate, forging and weld consumable carries an EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 certificate bound into the delivered data book.

Closure chosen by change-out frequency

Swing-bolt, davit, or band clamp — specified against how often your team actually opens the vessel, not by catalogue default.

Retrofit-compatible internals

Tie-rod and spring-plate geometry accepts 222, 226, flat-gasket and DOE elements, so an existing element contract need not be torn up.

Applications

Where it is installed

  • Final product polishing on liquid transfer lines
  • Pre-filtration ahead of reverse-osmosis and ultrafiltration trains
  • Amine and glycol filtration in gas sweetening

FAQs

Questions engineers ask about industrial filter housings

Yes. Our ASME Section VIII Division 1 authorisation covers U-stamp fabrication, and we routinely issue PED Module H documentation for European destinations. Certification route is fixed at the kick-off meeting so the data book matches the destination's regulatory regime.

Next step

Specify the industrial filter housings for your duty.

Send flow, contaminant, rating, chemistry and available pressure. We return a configuration with the sizing basis attached.
