Overview

Elements built to hold their rating to the last hour.

The cartridge is the component that actually performs the filtration. Everything else in the system exists to hold it, seal it and tell you when it is finished — which is why element quality determines system performance far more than housing brand.

AXION elements are built without adhesives or surfactants. End caps are thermally fused to the media pack, cages and cores are extruded from the same polymer as the media, and nothing in the flow path can migrate into your product.

Our cross-reference library covers more than 4,000 competitor part numbers. Send what you currently buy and we return the AXION equivalent with a side-by-side comparison of rating, effective area and clean pressure drop — so the substitution is an engineering decision rather than a leap.

Configurations

  • Pleated polypropylene

General process duty, absolute rated, broad chemical compatibility.

  • Melt-blown depth

Graded density for high dirt-holding on variable inlet loads.

  • String-wound

Economical depth filtration for coarse pre-filtration duty.

  • Sintered metal

SS 316L for high temperature, backwashable and steam-regenerable service.

  • Activated carbon

Chlorine, taste, odour and organic removal in block or granular form.

Advantages

What this platform does that a catalogue item does not.

No adhesives, no binders, no surfactants

Thermal fusion throughout means nothing in the element can migrate into the filtrate — the difference between a clean product and an unexplained taint.

Cross-referenced to 4,000+ part numbers

Substitution is presented as a technical comparison of rating, area and pressure drop, so the change is verifiable before it is ordered.

Batch traceable to raw polymer

Every element carries a lot number traceable to resin batch, production line and operator, retained for ten years.

Rated by test, not by nominal

Absolute grades are qualified by ISO 16889 multipass with the beta ratio published alongside the micron figure.

Applications

Where it is installed

  • Final filtration of parenteral and ophthalmic products
  • Wine, beer and spirits clarification and stabilisation
  • Deionised water polishing in electronics manufacturing
  • Solvent, acid and plating-chemistry purification
  • Hydraulic and lube oil conditioning
  • Potable water treatment at point of entry

FAQs

Questions engineers ask about filter cartridges

Beta is upstream particle count divided by downstream count at a given size. β = 5000 means 5,000 particles enter for every one that passes — 99.98% efficiency. Higher beta at a stated micron size is the only rigorous way to compare two elements.
