Overview

Emission compliance and explosion protection in one design.

A dust collector is two systems sharing a housing: a filtration system that must meet an emission limit, and a safety system that must contain a deflagration. Designing one without the other is how dust collectors become incidents.

CYCLA collectors are designed against the measured Kst and Pmax of your actual dust, not a generic table value. Vent area is calculated to EN 14491 and NFPA 68, and where venting to atmosphere is not possible, we specify flameless venting or chemical suppression.

On the filtration side, can velocity governs whether a baghouse works. Too high and dislodged dust re-entrains onto adjacent bags instead of falling to the hopper, and the collector never recovers its clean differential pressure. We hold can velocity below 1.5 m/s as design practice.

Advantages

What this platform does that a catalogue item does not.

Vented against your dust, not a table

We use the measured Kst and Pmax of your material to calculate vent area to EN 14491 and NFPA 68.

Can velocity held below 1.5 m/s

Correct hopper and inlet geometry lets dislodged dust fall rather than re-entrain, keeping the clean differential pressure stable for years.

Cleaning on demand, not on timer

Differential-pressure-triggered pulsing cuts compressed-air consumption 40–60% against fixed-interval cleaning and doubles bag life.

Emission limit contractually guaranteed

Outlet concentration is a performance guarantee verified by isokinetic stack sampling at handover.

FAQs

Questions engineers ask about dust collection systems

Cartridges offer far more area per unit volume and suit fine, dry, free-flowing dust below 80 °C. Bags handle high temperature, moisture, sticky dust and heavy loading. Above 120 °C or with any condensation risk, bags are the safer engineering choice.
