Rating backed by a beta ratio
We publish the beta value and the test standard that produced it. A rating without a test method is a claim, not a specification.
Pleated, melt-blown and depth cartridge systems rated absolute to 0.1 µm, with integrity-test protocols and full extractables documentation.
Overview
A nominal rating is a marketing number. An absolute rating is a measurement — 99.98% retention of the stated particle size, demonstrated by single-pass challenge under ISO 16889 conditions. Every AXION cartridge ships with the beta ratio that produced its rating, not a range.
Pleat geometry drives service life more than media choice. AXION cartridges use a computer-optimised pleat pitch that maximises usable surface area without allowing pleats to nest and blind under load — the result is 30 to 40% longer service life than a conventionally pleated equivalent at the same rating.
For sterilising-grade duty, cartridges are assembled in a Class 8 cleanroom, flushed with WFI-quality water, and released with bacterial-challenge validation against Brevundimonas diminuta at 10⁷ CFU/cm². Extractables and leachables data is supplied as standard, not on request.

AXION-ST
Sterilising-grade PES double layer, validated bacterial retention.
AXION-HF
High-flow 6" diameter element replacing up to 20 standard cartridges.
AXION-CH
Chemically resistant PTFE construction for solvents, acids and ozonated streams.
We publish the beta value and the test standard that produced it. A rating without a test method is a claim, not a specification.
Computed pleat pitch prevents nesting under load, delivering 30–40% longer service life than conventional pleating at the same rating.
Sterilising-grade elements are built in Class 8 conditions, flushed to WFI quality, and shipped with validation and extractables data.
End caps are fused to the media pack without adhesives or binders, eliminating the most common source of extractables and taint.
