Positive-lock seal, verified at 3.5 bar
The restrainer seat is machined, not stamped, and mechanically locks the bag collar so differential pressure cannot lift it into bypass.
Single and multi-bag vessels with positive-seal restrainer baskets that stop bypass — the failure mode that quietly ruins downstream equipment.
Overview
Bag filtration wins on economics: a size-2 bag holds several kilograms of solids for a fraction of the cost of the equivalent cartridge area. What it loses on, in badly built systems, is bypass. A bag seal that lifts under differential pressure sends unfiltered fluid straight downstream, and nothing on the gauge tells you it happened.
The STRATA restrainer basket uses a machined snap-band seat with a positive mechanical lock, tested to hold at 3.5 bar differential — well beyond the 2.5 bar collapse point of the bag itself. The bag fails before the seal does, which is the correct order.
Multi-bag vessels are laid out with a central inlet diffuser so the first basket does not take the full solids load. In a four-bag STRATA, loading across baskets stays within 12% of one another, which means the plant changes all four bags on one shutdown instead of chasing them individually.
Configurations
STRATA-1
Single-bag housing, side inlet / bottom outlet, 5 to 40 m³/h.
STRATA-4
Four-bag multi vessel with diffuser plate, 40 to 320 m³/h.
STRATA-12
Twelve-bag high-flow vessel with davit head, up to 1,100 m³/h.
STRATA-DUP
Duplex twin-vessel skid with change-over valve for uninterrupted service.
STRATA-SAN
Sanitary bag housing, electropolished, fully drainable, clamp closure.
The restrainer seat is machined, not stamped, and mechanically locks the bag collar so differential pressure cannot lift it into bypass.
Inlet diffusion holds basket-to-basket load variance under 12%, so all bags reach change-out together on one planned shutdown.
Band-clamp closures, counterbalanced heads and pull-tab bag handles cut a four-bag change from twenty minutes to under five.
Sloped floors and low-point drains empty the vessel completely — critical where product changeover or CIP validation is in play.
